VDSA Community Youth/Mini Programs - Winter 2025-26

Oct. 23, 2025

VDSA 2025-26

Winter Soccer Community Programs

Community stream programs take place at the Credit Union Rec Complex in Kentville.

Minis - (U-5, U-7, U-9, U-11) Sessions for these levels are put on jointly by the Valley District and Valley United. They take place on Sunday afternoons with an hour for each age level. They consist of skills development and small-sided games. There will be two 8 week programs offered. The first will go from early November into January. The second will run from late January to early April.

Session 1 Info - Sessions will be on Sundays beginning November 16 and continuing until January 11 (no session on Dec. 28). U-5 will go from noon to 1pm, U-7 will be from 1-2pm, U-9 will be from 2-3pm and U-11 will be from 3-4pm. Cost for the program is $100 which includes a t-shirt. The fee can be e-transferred to smcn1414@gmail.com

Youth - (U-13, U-15, U-19) This program will consist of three sessions and only involves games (no training). The first session will take place in November and December. The second will run in January and February. The third session is the “spring league” which runs through March and April and is open to both community and performance stream players. Which age levels are actually offered and what days they will occur on is determined by registration numbers leading into the program.

General rule of thumb is that there needs to be a minimum of 18 players interested for an age level to occur. From 18-30, the program will be run as a drop in where the players present are divided into two teams and play a game (with coaches and a referee). Over 30 players, a “league” with defined teams will be formed. Age levels may be adjusted to make things work (ie U-14 instead of U-13)

Session 1 Info - This will be a six week session beginning November 14 and ending December 21. It is for birth years 2007-2014 although numbers registered on November 5 will determine exactly which age levels will be offered.

Days used will be Fridays (5-7) and late afternoon/early evening slots on Saturdays and/or Sundays.

Cost will be approximately $80. Payment will not be requested until the actual age groupings and game days are determined as some age levels may not be a go and designated game days may not work for some.
